About
Toronto Western Hospital has a special interest in hand, foot and ankle surgery, where JDMI collaborates with the rapid access clinic to rapidly image and diagnose feet and ankles.
Our Division includes sports medicine, trauma, oncology, pediatric, arthritic and specialist orthopedic and rheumatologic referrals. Various imaging modalities are used, including X-rays, CT, ultrasound, and MRI.
IMAGING MODALITIES AND FACILITIES
A wide range of CT, fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided interventional techniques are performed as well, including biopsies, aspirations, discograms, arthrograms, facet joint and nerve root injections.
For bone tumours and sarcomas (cancers arising from connective tissue, such as muscle), our Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Sinai Health sites are the principal musculoskeletal oncology referral centres in Canada.
