Our Services

Computed Tomography (CT)

Computed Tomography (CT)

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday
7:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

  • CT scans use X-ray to take detailed pictures inside the body.
  • Each rotation of the scanner takes less than a second, and creates a picture of a thin slice of the organ or area of interest.
  • CT can be used to study all parts of the body.
X-ray

General Radiography (X-ray)

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday
7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging.
  • X-rays use small amounts of radiation to produce images of bones and internal organs.
  • It’s non-invasive and helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Interventional radiology offers some of the most minimally invasive, targeted treatments available.
  • It uses X-rays, Ultrasound, CT and other imaging to advance a catheter in the body.
  • IR treatments allow for lower risk, less pain, and shorter recovery time.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Hours of Operation:
24 hours, 7 days a week

  • MRIs produce pictures of the body using powerful magnets and radio waves.
  • MRI is a non-invasive procedure.
  • Blood flow and organ motion can be measured with MRI
  • Unlike CT or PET scans, MRI does not use radiation to take an image.
Molecular Imaging (Nuclear Medicine)

Molecular Imaging (Nuclear Medicine)

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Nuclear medicine uses small amounts of radioactive material, called radiopharmaceuticals, to aid diagnosis.
  • The radiopharmaceutical emits energy from the body, which is picked up by a Gamma Camera.
  • It’s safe and typically non-invasive.
Ultrasound

Ultrasound

Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Ultrasound uses sound waves to see the inside of the body in real-time.
  • It allows examination of organs, soft tissues and blood vessels.
  • Common uses include examination of the uterus, liver, thyroid, heart—the list goes on!

The Centre of Excellence in Skeletal Health Assessment (CESHA)

The Centre of Excellence in Skeletal Health Assessment is the only one of its kind, nationally as well as internationally, bringing together radiologists and physicians caring for patients with osteoporosis.

Our team consists of physicians, radiologists, bone density technologists, and booking specialists at Sinai Health, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and Toronto Western Hospital.
