Sonja Kandel

Dr. Sonja Kandel went to Medical School in Mainz and Hamburg, Germany, and did her radiology residency at the University of Kiel and Charite Hospital, Humboldt University Berlin. In 2010, Dr. Kandel came to Toronto as a research fellow in the JDMI, followed by two clinical fellowships in Abdominal and Cardiothoracic Imaging. In 2013 she was appointed as staff in the JDMI and as Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Shortly thereafter, she assumed the role of Director of Research in Chest Imaging in the JDMI and has since then mentored both clinical and research fellows on their educational and scientific journey.
