Why Canada is Perfect for Radiologists

by Dr. Ania Kielar

I am Dr. Ania Kielar, vice chair at large at the University of Toronto, Department of Medical Imaging; and a radiologist and Deputy chief, Practice Improvement, in the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI). I am also the next president of the Canadian Association of Radiologists.

I am from Canada, I was born here and I am a child of immigrants. I believe in Canadian radiology there are opportunities for everybody regardless if you want to live in a rural area or enjoy big-city life.

This month, I am featured in the Shine a Light series by UMIT where I share my story through my black-and-white photos and my voice. I am also the guest of this month’s episode of our podcast Radiologists where, together with its host Satheesh Krishna, talk about the factors that make Canada a perfect ecosystem for our specialty.
