
Jaydeep Halankar
Jaydeep Halankar (MBBS, DMRD, DNB) is currently an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Cardiothoracic Division at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI), University Health Network, University of Toronto, Canada. After completing his Radiology Residency Program from the University of Mumbai, India, he has successfully completed multiple radiology fellowships in Molecular Imaging, Abdominal Imaging and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and University of Toronto (UHN/U of T). Following his fellowships he joined the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) in Toronto as an Assistant Professor in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic division. His current specialization focuses on research and clinical Imaging in Structural Heart Disease (TAVI/TAVR, SAVR-in-TAVR, TAV-in-TAV, mitral interventions and pulmonary interventions), Coronary CTA and FFR- CT. He is actively involved in teaching sessions for trainees at the University of Toronto – Radiology Resident Program, Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellows, and Rotating Medical Students in Chest Radiology. Dr. Halankar was recently nominated for the newly established “Excellence in Clinical Practice Improvement” award for his dedication in structural heart disease imaging at UHN. He is the Radiology Lead for SCOPE Imaging for JDMI/UHN/WCH and is actively involved in assisting family physicians in the Toronto community (affiliated to SCOPE) in accelerated imaging for their patients when required. He is also an Academic Scholar for first year medical students at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto (2022-23 batch).
