Ciara O'Brien
Dr Ciara O’Brien is an Abdominal Radiologist at the University Medical Imaging Toronto (University Health Network, Sinai Health and Women’s College Hospital) and an Assistant Professor of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto.
She completed medical school at University College Dublin (UCD) followed by basic medical training (BST) through the Royal College of Physicians Ireland (RCPI). Her radiology residency was through the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland with her training conducted at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH). She completed her first subspecialty training year in St Vincent’s University Hospital focusing on hepatobiliary imaging. She subsequently completed two Clinical Fellowships in Abdominal and Thoracic Imaging at the University of Toronto.
Dr O’Brien is affiliated with multiple international professional societies including the RSNA, SAR and CAR. She is a passionate educator and researcher receiving many awards and honors to date. She is the current Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Director at JDMI/UHN. Her research focuses primarily on Hepatobiliary Imaging.
